Friedrichshafen - 2006
Karen, Eva and Kerstin attend "Pferd Bodensee - 2006," a big Horse Fair in Friedrichshafen
Each day for three days we had a presentation of the Curly Horse at 16:35 in Hall A5. Here we put on a program for children
and everyday riders. We described the history of the Curly Horse beginning with the Crow and Sioux Indians, then
moving on to the ranchers and cowboys that bred and used the Curly, and then to modern day English riding. Lark and
Glory did a great job. We want to thank both Eva and Kerstin for being very courageous and riding out in public. Also,
we want to thank Mr. Kühllechner for doing a fantastic job as announcer. Here are some images that Lene took for us,
as our camera batteries died. Lene's camera doesn't do action shots well, but we are just very happy to have images
to show you!

Karen and Kerstin enter the hall, visitors ask questions before the show starts. Kerstin looking great all in black!

Karen rides out while the story of the Sioux and Crow is told.

Lark looking rather pregnant, can it be she's in foal?

Lark and Karen pick up Kerstin and Glory as the story turns to the fight between the Indians and the soldiers, and
how the ranchers began to breed the Curly.

Here you can see one side of the audience (there is also a stand on the other side directly opposite).

Glory and Lark are presented side-by-side in unison. Great job Kerstin! Gaby Kaercher, professional photographer,
is in the foreground taking images of the event (she's all over the place in the arena, we almost ran her over once! :)

While Glory is taken to the edge of the arena and her saddle and bridle changed to English, Karen goes with Lark
to the audience and invites everyone down to pet Lark.

Eva enters with Glory under English saddle and shows that the Curly is also a Modern horse. Great job Eva!

Eva sitting well in the saddle at the trot.

After Glory's presentation, Eva brings her to the visitors to let them pet her also. Gaby takes
pictures of the crowd gathering, they come from the stands on the side to get close to
the Curlies.

Eva and Glory looking good.

Bye-bye everyone!

Exiting the hall.

Relieved after it all goes well.
