Horses We Have Sold, Placed or Imported

Here we list horses from our own breeding program, or horses we have imported and placed for our customers.

*RR Wooly Bully

Bred and raised by Verlin Rau of Rosebud River Curly Horses, *RR Woolly Bully was imported through Curlies Austria to Salzburg for his new owner, Evelin Dick, in 2003. She happily rides him regularly. *RR Woolly Bully was the only Curly that worked for Evelin in the hair and live allergy tests.

*ZZ Jack's Lark'n Lady

Our first foal of 2005, and the very first from our own breeding program! From our fabulous mare, *Grulla Vaquera Lark, and our handsome black stallion, *CCG Warrior Billy Jack, this little lady was perfect. She has the wonderful color of her mother, and four whitefeet and blaze from dad, is very sweet and cuddly, but can still put a flame under her feet! Recognized as possiby one of a kind, she was purchased at five days old. She now belongs to Riverside Curly Horses in northern Germany, where the Riemanns have established their own breeding farm!

*ZZ Diamond Rain

Our second foal of 2005, this little darling is the most calm and quiet of the bunch. Very people friendly like her dad, *Clooney, she has the body and coloring of her very sweet and loveablely large mother, **RR Rescue Me (also from Verlin Rau's breeding program). Rain was sold after 3 weeks to our very sweet customer, Astrid. Astrid has been looking for the chance to own a curly and followed the curly scene for a long time. We feel these two match each other perfectly.

*E.G. Frost

We couldn't have asked for a more special guest! We imported Frost from Jesse Zimpel's program, Echo Glen Curlies for our customer, Brigitta. Frost was the only Curly out of 30 horse hair samples that worked for Brgitta. And, what a great guy. Frost not only has a beautiful coloring but also has a Foxtrot, and a wonderful easy-going personality. Frost stayed with us until it was time to go to our trainer to bring him under saddle. We are happy to say our trainer says he is doing great.

*DCC Glorious Touch

Sandra is a special lady in Switzerland, she gave up her very beautiful motorcycle to attain her dream of owning a very special, gaited mare, now nicknamed Sky! Sandra's mare comes from a breeding program that was famous for producing quality gaited Curlies. This program no longer exists, so Sky is one of the very rare and last horses. She is a wonderful addition to the European Curly population and happily now lives in Switzerland.

*Teoc's Painted Levi, *Teoc's Crossing Jourdon, Teocs Painted Tess

The Wolfs called us in a jam, saying they had three weeks to arrange an imort of horses they had purchased in Amercia to Germany! Nothing like a challenge to get us going! Curlies Austria arranged for purchase agreements, prepurchase exams, pickup, quarantine and flight all in the short time allotted. We don't recommed this to anyone though! We also helped in getting the horses registered. The Wolfs are very happy, and provide recommendations about our service.

*CC Skygrey Sparkling Lady

Given our success in imports, Sophie came to us with a request. She had had a bad experience and wanted to make sure everything went OK with her import. We were happy to reassure her with our professional attitude, team and support. In January 2006, a very happy Sophie picked up Lady in Luxembourg and brought her to her new home in France! Lady is a special horse for Europe carrying the blood of the famous dressage stallion, *Spartacus and was bred by Linda VavRosky at Creekside Curlies.

*ZZ I Dream of Geenie

This one broke our hearts. Geenie was very special to us here at Curlies Austria. She was our baby. She is very self-confident, and a very big foal from our own *Clooney and *DKH Glory. She will grow up to be a big horse someday. She has fabulous movement, and excellent conformation. And, we miss her antics. She has a wonderful new home with very knowledgeable horse people at Snaky Water Ranch where she luckily will grow up with our other foal, *Magic Jackson Joe! We hope that they will produce nice Curlies together someday.

What can we say, our only boy! Well, since our two stallions were imported. Joe has a great personality and is very active and fun loving like his dad, *CCG Warrior Billy Jack. He's polite and cautious, having grown up with a lot of women! He was so happy when Frost came so he could play with another guy! Joe is most likely a Smokey Black (carrying the palomino gene like his mother, *Montana Blue Magic), he has beautiful grey eyes, four white feet like his half-sister Lady, a thin blaze and super conformation. He has a plush coat which is pushed all over the place. He is now happily living with Geenie at Snaky Water Ranch!

*DKH Glory

*Glory came from Canada and produce one of the largest most elegant foals, *ZZ I Dream of Geenie, from our program with *Clooney in 2005. She is sorrel, with a very nice broad blaze. Likewise, she has long, powerful legs and a strong presence. *Glory has morgan and arabian influences but also a bit more classic curly style and she is very tall. Although she doesn't quite reach the height of our other mare, *RR Rescue Me, she certainly comes close. She has an excellent nature, is open and friendly, but just a little bit head shy. *Glory has big movement and moves fast, smooth with excellent extension when she wishes. Glory makes her happy home in the area of Munich with the families, Lössl and Kramer and their children!

*ZZ Jay Cee Jazz

*ZZ Jay Cee Jazz is the culmination of a three year long love story. Our mare Jo Jo and our stallion Clooney fell in love on the flight over to Austria in 2003. They were only 8 months old so they had a long wait before we would let them breed. And finally, in 2005 it was time, and in 2006 this is what we got! A wonderful filly with to die for conformation, a great personality, and a Beatle's hair-do! Jazz has perfect legs and great form. She is a red dun which told us that papa Clooney has the dun gene! Jazz was sold only weeks after her birth to the Hubers who were waiting for her arrival. Of course, Jazz got to spend 6 months with mom before she sent to her new home in the Munich area.

*Twist of Mist, *Oscar and *Moonlight Day

Heidi in Finland was looking for really nice horses and found then at Linda VavRosky's! We took care to bring them over for Heidi, making sure everything went smoothly every step of the way. These horses are part of Heidi's breeding and vacation riding program, where you can ride through the forests of Finland, camp out and enjoy the quiet nature far from the rest of the world. Congratulations on Heidi, and thanks for going with Curlies Austria. We only use top quality transporters, quarantine facilities, and handlers. After investing all the time and effort and money to find and purchase your curly horse, why would you try to save on the most important part of the venture, getting your horse over to Europe? Believe us, we know the horror stories of going less expensive!

*Magic's Early Morning Rose

We didn't know if we could do it. She was our first foal born at Curlies Austria, and to sell her was very hard. However, the perfect people came along, the Fröhlichs! Karin has loads of experience with a leased stallion, and was looking for a young horse to train. Rose needed someone to give her loads of attention, she was bored in the herd and needed a purpose in life. When the two came together it worked like...well, Magic! Rose is one very happy horse and Karin a happy Curly owner. They are the perfect match, and we are very happy for the two of them. Congratulations to the Fröhlichs!

*Carmalitta, *Warrior Hancock Breezen, *Bit O Wy Mae, *Talisman, *Tamzara

With the success of their first import, the Wolfs contacted us again with respect to five horses they wished to bring over from America. This is an exciting group coming from the stables of Jim Washington, Donna Vickery (Crow Country Curlies), Wendy Snell (WindyK Curlies) and Tammy Denault (Dreamswept Farm). A difficult import to coordinate due to the many locations and some "in foal" complications, we are happy to be able to assist and make the import a success. The Wolfs have selected nice quality horses, and we look forward to watching their program develop.

*Troy

Having helped Heidi in Finland with her import, Armi contacted us about a WindyK stallion, *Troy, that we had listed on our sales page. We were happy to help, and even got an old friend of ourse to assist us in some Finnish communications! Getting Troy through quarantine proved a little tricky, but we all worked together to get the job done. We are very excited about Troy adding his genes to the Finnish Curly polulation. Congratulations Armi!

*Granbodas Aya

Christine and her daughter, Andrea, were hot on the Curly trail as they came to visit us at the farm. They were looking for the right mare for Andrea and even came to us at Wiener Neustadt to discuss the idea again. At the same time, they wanted one that was not TOO far away from Austria. We found her at the farm of Sandra Bergman in Sweden, and lickity-split, Aya arrived just before Christmas time in Austria to be Andrea's new project. Congratulations to the Bauers!

*Cee's Winning Ribbon and *Warrior Vaquera Noche

We couldn't have asked for a better home for these two lovely fillies. They are so lucky to be living together. We love our foals, and they found a great stable at the home of Manuela Pass. *Cee's Winning Ribbon is a very tall filly from our *Clooney and *RR Rescue Me. She looks a lot like her mom and will be a big girl like her half-sister *Geenie. *Noche on the other hand is petite with her mom's (Warrior White Moon) quiet temperment and her dad's beautiful coloring, Warrior Billy Jack. She's a smokey black with blue-grey eyes (Pearl?) Manuela takes good care of her girls and we look forward to seeing and visiting them in the years to come here in Austria.

*Jay Myr Pepperoni

Although still with us at the time of writing, *Jay Myr will be going to his new home shortly. Jay Myr was born while Karen's parents were visiting and so bears their names in short form. However, 12 hours later Robert came to visit and the decision was made, he wanted Jay Myr, and couldn't we also name him Pepperoni?! Always asking how he is doing, Jay Myr is very special to Karen's parents. Jay Myr is a suspected smokey black from *Montana Blue Magic and *Warrior Billy Jack. He has blue-grey eyes and it is thought he carries also the Pearl gene. He is very very curly, but is not thought to be homozygous because his eye lashes are not curled. He h as a super sweet temperment, is quiet and very friendly enjoying both people and horse company. He is a well balanced colt and will make a great riding horse for his new owner who will be working with Jay Myr as a gelding. We wish him all the luck in his future with his new owner. Robert.
