Julia and Resi

A Sleepy Cold Day

It's vacation break from school this week! Julia and Florian (Karen and Erwin's neice and nephew) are visiting Grandma for part of their holiday, and of course visiting the horses too!

Julia was a very good girl today helping out with mucking out the stalls (the open stalls too), mixing the feed, helping with the hay, and generally sweeping up. After a good job done, she went for a ride on Resi. Julia been riding for several years starting at a very young age. Although, for a start she was on the lounge line.

Resi and Lark were put into the round pen while the ladies mucked out the stall. Both got very sleepy out there, Resi closing her eyes all the time. After the stalls were done, the girls saddled up Resi. Karen did a warmup on her where Resi showed her get up and go for a couple of rounds. Well, what little she had, as soon as Julia was up, Resi got very very sleepy again. You can tell she's using energy to make her baby.

Resi was a good girl, and Julia had a nice time.
