St. Stephen's Day 2005

Friends and Neighbors Join Curlies Austria to Celebrate St. Stephen's!

The weather was not very nice, but at least it didn't rain! Friends and family gathered on the 26th of December for our traditional (3 years running now) St. Stephen's celbration. There was punch and tea and lots of home baked cookies from Eva, Kerstin, Mama Zierler and the Seidels. We saddled up the horses and let everyone who wanted to take a spin or two. We took a lot of pictures this year to share, and we would also like to thank the Seidel's for contributing some very nice photos too! We would also like to thank Eva and Kerstin for doing a great job helping saddle the horses and leading our guests! Thanks! Please enjoy our photos!

Hello! It's St. Stephen's Day and Barbara is up! She's waited a WHOLE YEAR for this! Karen, Erwin and Kerstin help her along.

Mom (Karin Seidel) and daughter (Barbara) smiling as they pass each other enjoying a ride!

Barbara going for another round looking like a profi!

We told Karin to sit proud like a princess, and she took us seriously! Really great seat, Karin! Good job.

Everyone pauses for Peter (papa Seidel) so he can take a group photo!

OK, it's Westman Erwin's turn to have a go!

So, how do I stop again?

Let's do the John Wayne swagger!

And, off into the sunset!

It's our niece Julia in the saddle, this girl knows how to ride! (Note that the Westman in the back is a little sideways?!)

Alex courageously decides to go it alone, and ends up in a snow pile! How does reverse work again?

Koidi enjoys Alex's trick!

Everyone else watches to see how Alex will get out!

Alex concentrated on his work!

Thomas shows off on "the Mercedes" in the trot! See Alex, it's so easy! *cough*

With a little help from his friends, Alex is on his way again. Great job, Alex!

Our nephew, Florian, sitting happy in the saddle!

Max Zierler gives it a go, looking good there Max!

Rupert on his first ride ever!

He may not be Robert Redford, but he's our "Horse Whisperer!" Way to go, Rupi!

Happy New Year!
