St. Stephan's Day - 2006

Our Tradition

Curlies Austria was happy to put on their 3rd St. Stephan's Day Ride at Webersdorf

It has become a tradition that just after Christmas on the 26th of December, that Curlies Austria invites friends and family to enjoy a winter ride, a Glühwein or Punch, cookies and cakes to celebrate the horses and our community. This year was extra special because we were all able to go indoors into the old Farmhouse and sit by the wood burning stoves and enjoy a real Christmas atmosphere. As always we are happy to show some images of the day!

A frosty morning without snow greeted us as we started the day.

Rescue Me looks over munching away at breakfast!

A wonderful blue sky frames frosty trees at the neighboring farmhouse.

The sun, low on the horizon, promises a nice day.

A fog over the lake and on the mountain threatens.

The first visitors arrive, Heidi, Peter and Karin warm up with a Glühwein and chat with Eva and Kerstin. Rescue Me and Lark wait for riders.

Marco runs about while, Dad, Thomas chats with Rupi and Ferdl.

Eva and Kerstin with rosy cheeks due to the cold! Warming up with punch!

Marco in the background showing off his speed!

More people arrive :).

And, even more :).

Gaby and Heinz. Gaby doesn't know it yet, but she's going to get on a horse today, for the first time in her life (or close to it?)

The sun warms up a bit! Or is it the Glühwein warming up the soul? :)

Camera against camera, Peter and Karen duel while Thomas rides off into the sunset on Rescue Me!

Marco and his Christmas present, a brand new remote control airplane, and boy can that boy fly!

While Marco whizzes his airplane about, dad takes a ride.

Hey Gaby, where are you? Are you up on that horse, we can't believe it. Congrats!

Gaby takes her first ride, and a very successful one at that.

Eva has a very important discussion with Rescue Me.

Gaby showing off on Lark!

Everyone retires into the comfy and warm rooms at Webersdorf. And, more people arrive, the entire Moosmann clan shows up with both grandmothers, sons, and children in tow! And, Christl and Heidi join in.

In the interior of the living room, Heinz, Gaby and Alex enjoy a chat.

We would like to thank everyone for coming, and to wish everyone including all our readers:

Happy New Year!
